so June and July went without a blog post!

lots of posts in my mind, just a case of being motivated to put them up.

i should have a funky as hell new hair dye situation soon.. so will start the ball rolling again with photos of that perhaps. in the meantime, here is my fave photo of me (and my hair mostly) for a long time.

New Hair

totes the most used title on my blog haha.

this one was long overdue! I let my colour fade out when I got home from my holiday. I read back on some old posts and saw that I thought I might stay a bit blonde for a while. Um, no. I stuck to my original plan. But I just couldn't go shorter. I literally teared up a bit when I forced myself to consider what it would be like cutting my hair and having it shoulder length. Strangely, I think it's a bit of an attachment/coping thing. I don't think I'm tough enough to cope with that radical change at the moment. Possibly that I've been forced to deal with so much change lately, that I don't want to choose another. It does now have layers framing my face though which is cool. The longest layer is still really long.

Having said that, it's still pretty darn different! I LOVE IT. I find it's a bit hard to get my fringe sitting right as it's been sooo long since I've had a blunt fringe. But I've had nothing but tons of compliments, so it must be alright eh!

i am greeted with this door whenever I go into the bathroom. you can see Simon features prominently! i LOVE these doors. great idea self. i'll probs do most photos in front of them. I'm training Jorja to take outfit shots ROFFLE. She's pretty good so far! complains less than Simon did hahaha. sorry beb.

Magenta goodness

My blog is so random. From suffocating grief, to new hair colour!
Last time I'll mention the randomness.. it's just how life is now.

So my cousin Juliet is (apart from being a SUPER person) a talented hairdresser. Considering how costly my crazy colour preferences could be, I'm very lucky Juliet helps me out with my hair these days! We are seeing each other a lot more lately which is great. Good things always come from bad. She put the blonde streak in my hair which was a little tribute to Simon thing I had going on.

This is the most extreme style I've had - full on colour! But I LOVE it.


It is even brighter in person I feel.

New hair

Well not so new anymore. It's holding up fairly well six weeks later
though.

Simon and I always joked that he liked blonde hair the best. Whenever we found a stray hair somewhere, we'd say accusingly 'IT'S BLONDE!' implying some blonde vixen had been around.

So when my lovely hairdresser cousin Juliet said 'let me know if there is anything I can do' , I said yep.. make me blonde!!!

Before you have a heart attack, don't worry, I could never go full blonde. I am definitely right as a brunette. I already had a filthy blonde patch from where my red or pink or whatever it was at the time had grown out, so I just got it done right. Funnily enough, when Juliet bleached it, it came out with pink all through it! The colour of fairy floss. But that faded quickly. So ta-da, here is my new duo coloured hair.

I really like it. I'm craving some pink though!! Could I pull off blonde and pink at the same time, that is the question.

New Hair!

I do apologise if hair is boring for you. My hair is never boring.. at least, it's always changing!

Right now, it's black! And my 'trademark' colour patch is red. Which always looks pink very quickly. I say trademark coz my friends keep telling me that I'm now known for my coloured hair and it's my 'thing'.. my trademark!

Raspberry Hair

New hair! It is quite fluoro pink now. I love it!
It's Raspberry Wakk semi permanent hair colour.
Blue will be next I think, this pink is my fave so far.
I also got a haircut that was long overdue and finally have
a fringe that I'm really happy with. Major improvement!

uh-oh..

attempting to bleach my own hair currently.. sitting here waiting for the 20 minutes developing time. it's quite warm in there under the foil! I'm pretty hopeless with this stuff, who knows how it will turn out! liza did it for me last time so if it's needs touching up i will call on her! if it works fairly well i plan on having a lovely red patch of hair next. i've done pink and purple and loved them both. the purple lasted ages! so now red. i have a feeling the red won't last that long.. also it's not fudge paintbox it's wakk. ouch the bleach is burning a bit! haha.
